Welcome to my quilting room. Before we start, I must confess that I am a fabriholic. I love to buy and horde fabric. Hubby thinks I need a psychiatrist! When I buy fabric and show it to him, he asks what I plan on making with it. I tell him,"I don't know yet. I just liked it!" It boggles his mind that I will buy fabric and not have a plan for it. I PLAN to use it,I just haven't decided where!! * smile * Not all of the displays here are finished. I am also sharing some of my "in progress" projects. Please take a look. When you are finished, feel free to email me or leave comments in my Guest Book about my work.I would love to hear what you think! :) ![]()
~ Card Tricks~This is my first flannel quilt. It is made entirely of "Thimbleberry" flannels. I made it for myself, but my 3 year old daughter decided it was hers. That was 2 years ago. Now I am only allowed to touch it when I wash it! *smile*
~Confetti~This was a mystery quilt designed and presented online by Tyanne Agle. I made it in flannels. If you have never tried a mystery quilt....DO! They are a lot of fun.I have listed Tyanne's web site in my "Links" page. Please be sure to visit her! ~ Universe~ It is 42" by 54". I made it with a child in mind, the planets and bright colors. Instead of quilting this one, I tied it. My kids like it.... SUCCESS! *grin* ~ Father's Day Flag~ I designed and made this flag wall hanging for my hubby in 1998. It is 18"by 24". Each of our four kids signed their star and wrote a note to their dad on the white stripes. It hangs in the hall with the rest of his awards and pictures. ![]() Displayed below are projects I am currently working on. I know...there are so many of them, how do I keep track? Well, they are all in various stages of completion. If I get bored with quilting on one, I can go on to piecing, appliqueing or foundation piecing another.
I call this wall hanging"Heart's Desire". It is a Thimbleberries pattern. It is 24" by 24". I still have to finish it. This is just the pieced top. ~Starflower Mystery~ This block is one of 9 that will make up a quilt. The pattern is a mystery quilt by Tyanne Agle. Can you tell I like her mysteries? *smile* I have all the blocks made, I just have to make the sashing.
I LOVE the colors in this one. I haven't decided how I am gonna finish it,tho. Any sug- gestions are welcome :) ~Weekday Mice~ This is one of my favorite quilt tops. My mom made the mice. They are embroidered by hand. It took her8 years to finish them. I put the sashing around the blocks.I can not wait to finish it. Hubby just made me an amish quilt rack to hang it on. I guess I better get busy, huh? *giggle*
